Michael Toney is the lead singer and manager of Trinity Quartet. Born and raised in Burlington, NC, Michael accepted the Lord his senior year of high school at the age of sixteen. Bill Graham came to Williams High School in 1969 and held Revival in the gym all week long. Michael was there every night and on Friday night he accepted the Lord as his Personal Savior. Soon he drifted away and started singing in night clubs and country music bars. This went on for many years. In 1990 he redirected his life back to the Lord and started singing gospel music. He started singing with The Dosses in a mixed quartet. Two years later he started his own trio, “Trinity”. A few years later Trinity became Trinity Quartet.

I would like to thank all the people that have been in Trinity Quartet over the years. Each one will always have a special place in my heart. I am thankful for the opportunity to sing the  message in song to a lost and dying world, and be an encouragement to believers. I have been married to my wife, Tina, for 40 years. We have one son, Austin, his beautiful wife Brandy and three grandchildren Ryen, Logan and Collins.

I was born and raised in Durham, NC, where I began attending church at 6 years old. As a young boy, I fell in love with quartet harmony. Our church hosted the Inspirations on several occasions, as well as the Hometown Quartet out of Winston-Salem. These groups greatly influenced me and encouraged me to learn to sing these wonderful harmonies. 

As a teenager, I sang in the teen choir and in the adult choir, as well as in small groups and solos at our church. After graduating high school, I attended Bible college, where I studied to be an assistant pastor and music director. 

After college, I moved back to NC, married my wonderful wife, and we both served in the ministry at my home church until 2016. During this time, I also sang briefly with a local group in Eastern NC, and then for several years with Risen Son Quartet from Mocksville, NC. 

In 2016, God led me and my family to move to Roanoke, VA, where I served in local church music ministry through Easter of 2026. 

Stacy and I have 2 adult sons, a daughter-in-law, and a teenage daughter. 

I am thankful for the opportunity to travel and sing once more, and I look forward with great anticipation to what God will do through the ministry of Trinity Quartet! My greatest desire during this time is that God will use us to be an encouragement to believers, and to spread the wonderful news of the gospel to all who will hear His message.

William Strickland was born to Donnie & Barbara Strickland in 1984. I lost my only sibling to murder in 1992 and then lost my dad in 1993. My mom and I joined Cloverdale Church of the Living God in Archdale, and I am still a current member today. I always loved southern gospel music listening to the Cathedrals, Gold City and The Gaither Vocal Band. I was always drawn to the sound of the bass singers and wanted to sing bass in my early teenage years. The first quartet that I had ever heard in person was Trinity Quartet when they had come to our church in 1996. From that point on in my life my heart was to sing with a Quartet. I have sung with a few groups over the years, Glenn Jacobs Family, Southern Journey, and recently Molded Clay Quartet. God knew when I was singing with the Glenn Jacobs Family that I would have meet my wife on October 1, 2017. She has been by my side from that day as I had many storms ahead of me, but God knew I needed her support the whole time. She stood strong for several years until I asked her to marry me where I meet her. (At her Dad’s House) We got married on Valentine’s Day 2020 as a remembrance of her sister being murdered on Valentine’s Day 1994. God always has a plan for us, and we must be focused on him in order to see his works for us.

I have two biological children, four stepchildren, 3 precious grandchildren. I am truly a blessed
man and I give God all the praise and honor for what he has done for me and my family. I will
continue to worship him for he is a Good Father.

My desires are to see people to come to know Jesus and spread the message through song and
worship.

I was born in Winston-Salem to Bob and Betty Hutchins. My dad sang southern gospel music for as long as I can remember. I always wanted to follow him wherever his group was singing. I knew then that I wanted to sing with him one day. I grew up in church but did not surrender my heart to Jesus until I was 15 years old. Gospel music took on a new meaning. In my late teenage years and adulthood, God granted my desire to sing with my dad. I was able to sing with him until he passed away in 2002. I thank God for saving a wretch like me and being born in a Godly home. I pray that the songs I sing portray the goodness of God and lead others to Christ.
